This company specialise in the manufacture and production of a range of power generation equipment that is supplied into the Oil and Gas industry and various other industrial markets. They have been established for over 60 years and are enjoying a period of expansion and growth.

In this role, the successful Buyer will be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers which will mainly with a mechanical bias. You will be responsible for developing and fostering a supply chain which will include management of existing suppliers as well as identifying new suppliers and negotiating contracts and purchasing contracts. You will ensure that stock levels are maintained to allow all products to be manufactured in a timely manner.

The Role:

*Responsibility for sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts
*Managing the existing supply chain
*Responsibility for the purchasing of mechanical parts
*Ensuring stock levels and inventory is maintained to appropriate levels

The Person:

*Experience of purchasing, procurement and buying of mechanical parts
*With an engineering or manufacturing background
*Holding the Level 4 CIPS qualification
