Assistant Civil Engineer/Technician (Development Infrastructure

Our client is a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy serving clients both regionally and nationally across the full range of Structural, Civil, Building Surveying and Project Management disciplines.

Due to recent and ongoing projects and appointments onto a number of framework agreements they have an opening for an assistant / technician Civil Engineer to work in the Leeds office. The role is to support the senior engineers by undertaking drawing preparation and assisting with designs.
The work undertaken by the Civil Engineering department is varied but mainly consists of designing schemes in the following areas.

Highway design S278 and S38
Drainage Infrastructure Design S104 details
Sustainable Drainage Schemes
Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments
Flood Alleviation schemes
Project Management
Client Liaison
Cost analysis of schemes

It is anticipated that the successful applicant already be in a similar role providing support to senior engineers by proving clear and precise drawings for contractors and clients to use on site.

It would be preferable for the applicant to have undertaken a OND/HND in Civil Engineering. Day release could be available for the right person to further enhance their career.

AutoCAD experience
3D ground modelling
Preparation of Longitudinal sections

Micro drainage design
PDS design
Design of external works for residential sites
Cut and Fill analysis
