Our client is looking for a Quality Assurance expert with operational or engineering experience of quality systems. You will provide Quality Assurance guidance and advice to Site staff involved in projects.

You will be responsible for:
The provision of a Quality Assurance support service to Project Managers,· Project audits and assessments as well as support to site internal, external and extrinsic audits,· supplier audits and assessments,· Support the production of Project compliance documentation/instructions,· Provide a Project receipt inspection and off-site inspection service,· Provide guidance and advice to Projects in the implementation of relevant regulatory requirements,· Provide guidance and advice on ISO and OHSAS standards to Projects· Deliver designated work packages within defined Projects to the required standards of safety, cost, quality and timescales,· Conduct investigations and prepare technical reports with accurate conclusions and effective recommendations

The successful candidate will possess:
Previous relevant experience as a Quality Engineer within the Nuclear Industry,· A Degree (in a relevant discipline) or professional qualification with demonstrable relevant experience,· Knowledge of the Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, legislation and regulations associated with safe operation of a Nuclear Licensed Site,· Broad knowledge of industrial/conventional safety standards,· Demonstrable knowledge of the implementation of key International/European & British Standards as well as awareness of key IAEA Standards e.g. GS-R-3· Knowledge & demonstrable practical experience of the techniques of auditing and analysing systems, processes and tasks to identify improvements, root causes and use gathered data to identify trends,· Adequate knowledge of the operations and potential/likely hazards presented by activities involved with the decommissioning of a Nuclear Licensed Site.· Adequate understanding of ionising radiation and radiological hazards·
