Draughtsman

Draughtsperson
Location: Cheltenham

An opportunity is available for a Draughtsperson to join a leading supplier of oil and gas products. You will document and perform CAD drawing and procedure changes under supervision for the development and production support of company products.

Responsibilities:
* Interface with all departments to facilitate the full evaluation of engineering change requests (ECR).
*Carry out changes to drawings, procedures, standards and tooling and fully document those changes on Glovia via an engineering change note (ECN)
*Interface with sub-contractors to evaluate the effect of changes to supplier's documents.
*Documentation changes will be carried out using Microsoft Word and various databases
*Drawing changes will be carried out using AutoCAD and Solidworks
*Liaise and be the point of contact with production to ensure that all queries are documented and any information required by production to support the build is supplied.
*B-Tech Engineering Diploma.
*Knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD and Solidworks with ability to demonstrate the ability to perform basic tasks with an understanding of first and third angle elevations would be beneficial.
*The ability to understand assembly drawing structures and the reason for configuration control of production designs.
*Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
*Excellent data entry skills are required.
*Knowledge of imperial and metric thread, geometrical tolerancing and limits and fits would be beneficial.
*An understanding of electrical wiring diagrams and printed circuit boards would also be beneficial.
*Verbal and written communication skills.
