THE COMPANY: My client is a North – East based manufacturer of highly engineered precision industrial components and products that are sold to end users around the world. They can be used in oil, gas and other process industries as well as a component in other manufacturer’s finished products. The company is part of a UK industrial conglomerate that has invested heavily in this country and has ambitious plans to grow the company substantially.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will develop and maintain processes to enable efficient product manufacturing to take place. This is a continuous improvement role and will be project orientated involving close liaison with production and engineering departments.
THE PERSON: Ideally HNC qualified you will have worked at shop floor level within a mechanical engineering manufacturing environment. You will be a practical and analytical person who takes initiative and will make things happen rather than await instruction. The company follows a continuous improvement methodology and it would help if you have been exposed to this sort of environment. Enthusiasm and resilience are required.
