We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Safety Consultants to join a dynamic team offering you the chance to utilise your technical leadership skills to make a contribution to a number of safety projects.

You will provide project management and technical contribution to safety case development of major defence, aerospace, rail and nuclear projects undertaken by the safety team.

To succeed as Safety Consultant you should have knowledge of Defence Standard 00-56, MoD POSMS, JSP 430,454,520,375,815, 553 and 518 as well as Yellow book.

You should also be conversant in the conduct of most of the following disciplines; Safety Management System Development and Safety Management planning; Safety Case Development; Independent Safety Audit; HAZOP/SWIFT; Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)/Event Tree Analysis (ETA); Failure Modes and Effects (Criticality) Analysis (FMECA); and/ or Goal Structuring Notation (GSN).

A good degree in a related field is necessary and ideally you will have previous experience of working in a consultancy environment (within the defence, nuclear, rail or energy sectors). Experience of leading and directing safety consultancy projects and tenders is also required.

This role requires SC Clearance so you must be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for the last 3 years minimum or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
