Field Service Engineer now sought for a reputable packaging machinery manufacturer and solutions provider. They operate worldwide and are well known for the reliability of their machines and their ability to provide bespoke design solutions.

Field Service Engineer Duties:

*Installation & commissioning of machinery at customer sites throughout the UK
*Provide follow up service calls, attend breakdowns and train both customer and distributer personnel
*Assessment of maintenance needs and parts required
*Advise customers of future maintenance programmes and operator training
*Liaise with design engineers for any required amendments
*Field diagnostics and rectification of electrical programming issues

Skills required for the role:

*Minimum of three years experience of working with packaging machinery or similar equipment
*Understand and troubleshoot machine related PLC programmes
*Ability to understand electrical & mechanical drawings
*An ONC or above in electrical or electro-mechanical engineering is desirable, engineering apprenticeship or equivalent is essential
