Our client, established for more than a century and renowned globally as a market leader in their specialist field, are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly self motivated and capable Team Leader to work in their busy manufacturing environment on a weekend shift basis and to complement their highly successful existing manufacturing team.

Directly responsible for a team of around 12 manufacturing engineers working on the weekend shift (Friday to Sunday - 6.00am to 6.00pm) within the fabrication area, the successful candid will demonstrate a minimum of two years experience in a supervisory capacity within a busy Manufacturing environment, ideally with experience of profiling/folding and/or welding, or a strong logistics background.

You will be responsible for the daily planning and monitoring of all processes to ensure output, whilst making certain that the companies highest standards are maintained whilst adhering to relevant procedures.

Additionally you will oversee the effective utilisation of labour and optimise the use of plant and equipment to ensure timely workflow of material through the whole department, and includes an orderly and tidy workplace and effective control of hand tools. You will ensure adherence to schedules and to control capacity in line with standard times established and carry out constant monitoring of material availability to maintain work performance, whilst making regular reports on the departments' performance and managing operator performance. You will maintain Health and safety procedures in accordance with the company health and safety policy and ensure that the associated operator skill base and training is maintained.
