Job Position: Junior Materials Test Engineer

Division/Dept: Engineering Technical Services

Job Status: Contract duration: 39 weeks

Description: Laboratory Test Engineer to carry out Fatigue and Mechanical testing duties.

Qualifications: General Engineering/Materials Degree desirable but not essential.

Experience: Proven experience in conducting Fatigue and Mechanical testing activities.

Preferred: General laboratory knowledge and skills, Fabrication and workshop

Skills Required:

Knowledge and experience in conducting a variety of Fatigue and Mechanical test duties in support of Materials Characterisation activities.

Ability to run and monitor equipment used in the generation of Fatigue and Mechanical test data on a wide variety of Metallic and Non Metallic materials.

Preferred:

Writing Technical Reports for publication to internal customers.

Fabrication and workshop skills to make or modify existing equipment as required.

Additional Info:

Must be willing to travel between Client sites

Basic Hours:

40 hours per week 3.30pm finish on Friday

Limited Company Hourly Rate: £20.35
