Gas / Heating Surveyor – Building Services

Temporary for 3 – 6 months

£15.00 - £19.00 per hour

This national energy supplier seeks a Domestic Gas Surveyor to work within a site based environment. Due large contract wins for boiler and central heating replacement programmes with Housing Association and Local Authority Social Housing clients.

You will be responsible for:

• Surveying void and occupied properties for new boiler replacement programmes.
• Measuring all pipe work required at the properties, boiler and central heating units.
• Responsible for filling order forms for materials
• Understanding the RADS required for each property.
• Liaison with the Gas Contracts managers with regards to the surveys carried out.
• Advice on specifications required for the boiler Installation.
• Liaising with the client with regards to complaints and any snagging work to carried out.
• Tendering of extra works on boilers or pipe work using a schedule of rates.
Site Inspections with the Clerk or Works
• Responsible for ordering materials on site, and quality of the fit on boilers, pipe work and central heating equipment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the domestic gas boiler Installation or maintenance environment. A previous gas installer or contracts manager would suit this role.

You must have all of your domestic gas safety certificates in date. Previous experience with the Social Housing industry would be an advantage.

All candidates will have to pass a standard criminal record check (CRB), as you will be entering domestic properties. You must be flexible and willing to travel up to a 30 mile radius.
