ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY

We are currently seeking someone to lead a business stream within our client¡¦s Nuclear Business Group. The company provides Engineering and Safety consultancy services to a wide range of clients in the civil nuclear sector. Due to growth in this sector, they are looking for an additional Business Manager to join their business management team.

The Business Manager will work with the Senior Business Executive to develop a sub-sector business plan and ensure the effective implementation of this business plan, meeting the following objectives:
„X To achieve agreed order, project profitability and cash utilisation targets
„X To oversee all activities within designated business sub-sectors, monitor project performance and ensure accurate reporting into the company management systems
„X To build long term, sustainable, profitable client relationships
„X To manage the marketing budget for their designated sub-sector.
„X To identify and progress new business initiatives, including the development of new products
and services.
„X To work with the Technical Management team to develop and implement the most efficient
and effective business processes and procedures.
„X To assist the Senior Business Executive and Technical Managers by identifying and overseeing the technical resources required to support sales and marketing activities, quotation preparation, project execution and product/service development.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline with a comprehensive knowledge of one or more civil nuclear sub-sectors and a proven track record of business development. They will be experienced in high value added Engineering & Safety Consultancy with excellent commercial and business management skills and an ability to motivate individuals from various parts of the organisation. In addition, they will have strong customer relationship management skills and excellent communication skills.

This role requires SC Clearance so the successful candidate will be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for at least the last 3 years or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
