Our client is a local company providing high quality, affordable homes in Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Work Planner to join their busy team to manage and monitor all repairs appointments and emergencies using IBS and Opti-Time software packages. Your ultimate aim will be to maximise the resources available, allocating work to their multi-trade repairs team and prioritising accordingly.

Acting as the first point of contact for the repairs team, you will assist in dealing with complex operational issues and customer queries promptly and efficiently. Using your excellent communication skills, you will liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure appointments are allocated and kept. Proactive in your approach, you will assess the most efficient and cost effective resources required to meet appointments within target. This vital role requires excellent planning and organisation skills as you will undertake all general system administration activities related to Opti-Time which includes resource profile management, absence reporting and system archive.

Our client is looking for a proactive and customer focussed team player with the drive and determination to make a positive contribution to the development of the repairs service. With experience of working within a busy operational environment, you will also be able to deal effectively with complaints on the telephone, face to face and in writing. With the ability to operate a range of IT software packages (including Word, Excel, IBS and Opti-Time), you will possess good database management skills coupled with the ability to extract information and produce reports.

A systematic approach to problem solving and the ability to prioritise effectively with minimum supervision is essential along with a flexible approach to working hours. Experience within a social housing environment would be advantageous in addition to a general understanding and knowledge of building repairs.
