Package: circa £32,000 + benefits
The UK's largest national courier home delivery and fulfilment company are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager, to have responsibility for its distribution operations at a brand new site in Cheshire.
Reporting to a Regional Manager, you will have overall control of all operations at the site, managing through a number of Shift Supervisors. You will be required to proactively manage the operation, delivering a cost effective operational solution to required timescales, while meeting agreed service levels.
Experience Required:
Experience of management in a distribution background is essential
Exceptional management skills
Sound numeracy and communication skills
Good PC skills
Able to demonstrate leadership qualities with excellent influencing and interpersonal skills.
A sound understanding of distribution processes and procedures
CPC qualification
Trade Union involvement and experience (ideally)
Confident individual with the ability to challenge existing practices
PLEASE NOTE: The depot is fully functional 24 hours per day from Sunday night to Saturday afternoon, with several peak periods during the year. You therefore need to be able to cope with constant pressure!
