Description		General Manager � 3PL Location: Cambridgeshire � commutable from Cambridge, Peterborough, St Neots, Ely, Kettering Package: c�55k + benefits 6598LS Experienced, proactive and enthusiastic General Manager required by a major global 3PL business. You will have overall responsibility for a large distribution operation, based in Cambridgeshire. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, you will have overall responsibility for running the warehousing and transport operation profitably, managing the relationship with two very demanding customers, and promoting excellent employee relations, together with a strong H&S environment. Key responsibilities: � Management of customer relationships � Create and maintain a positive working environment � Develop/achieve agreed budget, revenue and profit � Create a culture of continuous improvement � Manage KPIs to meet contractual terms and expectations � Change management leadership � Develop a strategic plan for the development of customer accounts � Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment � Management of debt control � Succession planning and development of key managers You will have proven experience of a large distribution operation for a blue chip client, and will be used to working with people at different levels within a powerful customer. Change management experience is required, as are excellent people management skills - you will have the steel to deal with any under performance, and the charisma to inspire people to deliver their best. You�ll have sharp commercial acumen, and will be able to assist our client in achieving maximum profit capability at the site. MVP Search & Selection is a leading employment agency.
