Package: £45 - 55k + car + benefits
Are you looking for a challenging, fast paced transport role, with one of the largest blue chip logistics companies around? Owing to a significant new business win, our client is currently looking to appoint a motivated, talented transport professional to work within a dedicated distribution operation for a famous name FMCG manufacturer.
Reporting to a Regional General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for a large national transport operation, and will be based in Cheshire. You will be required to maximize the financial performance of the operation, providing leadership and focusing on customer requirements.
Key responsibilities:
• Management of customer relationships
• Create and maintain a positive working environment
• Develop/achieve agreed budget, revenue and profit
• Create a culture of continuous improvement
• Manage KPIs to meet contractual terms and expectations
• Develop backhaul network
• Development of sub-contractor network
• Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment
• Management of debt control
• Business development
You will have proven experience of a large, closed book transport operation, and will be a National CPC holder (International CPC is also desirable). You’ll be very commercially focused, and will be able to deliver a top class, profitable operation. An excellent knowledge of transport legislation is required, as are sound people management skills.
