Description		Our UK-based client is a wholly owned subsidiary of a global freight forwarding and integrated logistics provider with worldwide turnover in excess of $3.6bn and more than 19,000 employees around the world. The UK and Ireland operation employs over 250 staff based in 12 offices located throughout the UK, from Aberdeen to Southampton. Turnover of the UK and Ireland business in the year ended January 2007 was �87m. To continue with the growth and development of the road freight business across Europe, Middle East and North Africa, they are currently seeking a Road Freight Coordinator to join the team and to take specific responsibility for supporting the Director EMENA � Roadfreight with the rollout of the Strategy within this busy and demanding environment. The role requires the successful candidate to take responsibility for developing an infrastructure to measure the financial and operational performance of EMENA, to gather data from within and outside of the organisation to influence decision-making, and to develop a scorecard process to measure third party partners. In addition, the Coordinator role will involve interaction with suppliers, negotiation of service level agreements and establishment of road freight best practice. This is a new role within the organisation, and a great opportunity for the right candidate. The successful candidate must have worked within road freight previously and may be a member of the RHA or CILT. They must be able to demonstrate 2-3 year�s success in a similar or related role, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong data analysis and reporting abilities, including advanced Excel computer skills, are an absolute requirement for this role. In addition, they will be able to appreciate the importance of providing accurate well-researched information and meeting deadlines. The ability to work autonomously and unsupervised is essential. This role involves extensive travel both within the UK and the EMENA Region.
