Description Our client are a successful and long established manufacturer in Cambridge and they are looking for an experienced Shipping and Logistics Controller for a new role within their business. The main objective of the role is ensure that all Sales orders are processed through the factory in accordance with defined procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

* Undertake order entry and acknowledgement of delivery of orders in accordance with agreed ISO 9001 and SAP procedures. Liase with the Production Manager as required. Ensure all available customer orders are entered on SAP by month end. Raise Purchase Requisitions for 3rd party parts in accordance with procedures.

* Provide weekly pro-active order delivery status updates to CRCs, dealers and customers. Liaise with our freight forwarders/appointed shipping agent as required, to arrange the collection, packing and despatch of customer shipments.

* Liaise with the UK CRC concerning arrangements for installation and warranty support of products in the UK prior to despatch.

* Provide appropriate shipping documentation in accordance with the customer order contract requirements. Provide documentation required by shipments under export licence and letters of credit.

* Liaise with the Finance Department on bank guarantees, commission payments and outstanding retentions.

To be considered for this role, you should have experience of all or most of the following activities:

* Processing Sales Orders

* Dealing with Letters of Credit

* Invoicing on a global basis

* Arranging shipments

* Understanding export Documentation for the UK

* Understanding Handling Requirements on Aircraft

* Doing month end calculations and tying up loose ends

* Experience of working in the manufacturing industry.
