Description

General Responsibilities:

• To ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times to promote a safe working environment.
• Train, motivate and management of operational staff in line with company policies and employment.
• Ensure ISO9001 compliance and completion of non-conformance reports.
• Management of customer service and staff competence.
• Management of the absence management matrix and return to work process.
• Review freight coming into the depot to ensure maximum revenue and profitability.
• Ensure the depot legally compliant throughout.
• Ensure the company’s goals are met in revenues, cost controls, profitability, and customer service.
• Ensure all vehicles are deployed within cross weight capacity.
• Review and approve all operational labor to ensure they are fact based, and in alignment with overhead budgets.
• Participate in the PDP Performance Management Program. Complete peer reviews, and provide input to the Branch Manager to help complete performance appraisals, objectives and goals
• In coordination with the Branch Manager, develop and maintain Emergency Action Plans identifying key personnel and responsibilities for emergency situations. Disaster Recovery Plan
• Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Liaise between Sales and Operations to ensure customer service levels and expectations are achieved and exceeded at all times.
• Implement and roll out Standard Operating Procedures and KPI’s to ensure a smooth and cost efficient operation.
• To train and develop operational staff to perform and excel at the highest possible stand at all times.
• To become actively involved with Weekly / Monthly Management report with a focus on Gross Profit and operational costs.
• Look to continuously improve the operation ensuring the 5s’s are implemented adhered to at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance License
• Strong leadership and good communicator at all levels
• Ability to work alone using own initiative or as a team player
• Must be reliable, hardworking and completely committed
• Experience in working in a fast paced environment.
• Experience with implementing and managing KPI’s
• Experience in managing Health & Safety compliance
• Good knowledge with all Micro Soft Applications
• Good knowledge with the CV postcode would be an advantage
• Previous experience working with WMS
• Experience within the parcel industry would be an advantage

Working hours Tuesday to Saturday 03:00am – 12:00pm
