Salary: £26,726 to £35,123 (depending on experience)

Our client celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2008. They are a department of the University of Cambridge, and a not-for-profit organisation. They are experts in assessment and are Europe's largest assessment agency incorporating three major exam boards and a suite of supporting services.
ROLE:
Are you a numerate, computer literate graduate with hands-on experience of SAS or a similar statistical analytics platform? If so, we would like to hear from you.
Working in our client's Research Division, you will be involved in improving assessment processes and monitoring the quality and standards of Cambridge Assessment's qualifications.
You will assist with the development of new data analysis and reporting services based on data arising from on-screen marking and digital assessments. You will also undertake ad hoc analyses, provide statistical programming consultancy to the Research Division, conduct small-scale research projects and assist with larger scale projects.
Support and training opportunities – possibly including the opportunity to obtain a postgraduate qualification if appropriate – will be available to the right applicant to help them acquire any necessary specialist knowledge and skills that they currently lack. In the longer term, as one of the world's largest assessment agencies, they welcome applicants wanting to develop a career with them.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) A level maths (or equivalent) and a first degree including statistical techniques is also required.
b) Knowledge and commercial hands-on experience of at least one statistical analytics / Business Intelligence platform such as SAS, SPSS, Mintab, Matlab or similar.
c) Computer literacy.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of conducting quantitative social research, or of conducting data analysis in a business environment, would be a distinct advantage.
b) General programming skills.
