Description		We are recruiting for a Project Supervisor for one of the UK's leading private sector employment-focused training and enterprise companies. Whether it's helping individuals get back to work or set up and run a business, supporting employers to train their staff or recruit the right people, our client is committed to providing services that make a difference. This position is to supervise and support our innovative community projects developing customers soft and employability skills. A good knowledge of Health & Safety is essential and the ability to work practically alongside a team of young people is highly desirable. The post holder will also be able to demonstrate the skills necessary to liaise with local community groups. Build a welcoming and trusting atmosphere for all participants using our services Remain sensitive and non-judgmental to the needs of participants and demonstrate empathy without creating dependency and ensure Company Equal Opportunities Policy is followed Induct all participants during their first week on the project to ensure a comprehensive understanding of health and safety including project policies and procedures Ensure that all participants are issued with appropriate protective clothing during their first week on the project and ensure PPE is worn at all times Complete weekly check on all H&S equipment and signage to ensure all are maintained in good condition and fully operational Ensure that all hand tools are in good condition and fit for use Ensure that any accident or near miss is documented and reported to Contract Manager Ensure that all working practices match the expectations of potential employers Ensure adequate First Aid facilities are available and that a qualified First Aider is available at all times The ideal candidate will have worked delivering a similar project, but this is not essential.
