Do you consider yourself to be a qualified and energetic Music teacher who’d be interested in an immediate or September start in a leading edge training school?

Are you a Music teacher who has experience of teaching year 7 – 11 and would be interested in a one year contract that could possibly develop into a permanent role? This post will be on a 1 year contract with the school or on long term supply.

The timetable is split equally between Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 teaching but there is also an opportunity to teach A level if you have recent experience teaching at this level. The school has outstanding Music facilities including 2 purpose built Music studios that are equipped with the latest in technologies and facilities. The school also has an excellent extra-curricular programme inclusive of rock bands, jazz bands and samba bands to name but a few. The school and department will suit an individual who is classically trained or more of a music technology specialist with access to Qbase, Sibelius and other sequencing software

You will be responsible for teaching streamed sets, including GCSE classes from year 10 – 11 and mixed ability sets from year 7-9. The school was inspected by OFSTED in 2008 and was graded as outstanding in every category with particular praise for “Teaching and Learning and Leadership”.

There are currently 1,200 students on the roll and this is a cohesive and organised school with a real family feel. It’s a multi-cultural and multi lingual school where you will have the pleasure and opportunity to teach SEN, EAL and G&T students so you must be able to cover a wide range of teaching and learning methods.
