Business Development/Project Manager - e-learning solutions

Salary: 35k to 40k basic + bonus (50-55k OTE) + benefits

Our client is a fast growing e-Learning solutions company boasting an extensive UK and international client base.

ROLE.

They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager/Project Manager to join their team.

Job Responsibilities:

•Managing Client relationships
•Carrying out Project Management in line with our processes
•Delivering projects to schedule, budget and quality
•Meeting and presenting to potential clients and identifying client requirements
•Responding to initial client contacts/Request for Proposal (RFP)
•Close sales through a consultative sales approach
•Devising budgets and managing to budget
•Managing schedules and resources
•Managing Supplier relationships
•Offering competitive and appropriate solutions, services and development knowledge to clients

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates should have several years experience within the e-learning sector. This will have with a account management, business development or project management capacity. You will need to have a strong commercial nous in order to close sales. However, the management of projects from specification to implementation is equally important; You should be clearly process-driven and be able to demonstrate understanding of the learning content, interactive design and technical development associated with e-learning.

Knowledge:

•Considerable experience as Account Manager, Senior Project Manager or Producer responsible for end to end project management and solutions delivery including client liaison, budget, schedule, change control and problem-solving
•Understanding of the e-learning business, or digital/media communications business with broad knowledge of delivery and development platforms
•Commercial understanding, ideally with some sales/account management experience in the learning sector.
•Understanding of learning and instructional design issues
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, MS Excel and MS Word
•A broad technical understanding of development of e-learning content for the web (CMS's, LCMS's, development for LMS compatibility and SCORM and AICC compliance issues, for example) would be an advantage

Skills / Abilities:

•Ability to think commercially and deal with the requirements of potential clients
•Ability to judge quality of all media, assets and deliverables on a project
•Ability to communicate internally and escalate issues as appropriate through regular project reporting and close attention to detail
•Problem-solving with regard to issues that arise during a project
•Willingness to support and develop skills in team members - particularly in the project management roles
•Ability to work with the team to ensure profitability and excellent client service
