Our client, a large, well established training provider, is looking for a Childcare tutor to join their team in the Northwest.

The type of person we are looking for has enthusiasm; drive; excellent time management skills; empathy with young people; an ability to communicate at all levels within business; ability to organise a caseload of trainees/companies and tenacity to achieve results.

You will be working a 37 hour week Monday to Friday including 2 evenings per week (with mornings or afternoons off in lieu), visiting learners in the workplace and visiting different offices to deliver off the job training to small groups of learners.

The successful candidate will have:

• a recent occupational background in childcare

• experience tutoring small groups of learners in a classroom type environment.

• a childcare qualification at or equivalent to NVQ 3

• Current knowledge of NVQ’s and the assessment process

• Excellent communication skills, the ability to support a caseload of learners and businesses with a keenness to succeed and achieve targets

• Be self motivated, enthusiastic, have good attention to detail and have the ability to adapt to new challenges

• Driving licence and access to a car

• A training qualification or will be willing to undertake an internal training course for PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector).

Additionally, D32/33 or A1 would be an advantage, but training can be arranged
