About the Job

We are looking for a number of Qualified Assessors (Experience in QCF / Tech Cert / Key Skills) to work full time for a well respected nationwide training provider –must be suitably qualified. You will be assessing Apprenticeships/QCFs within Health and Social Care.

We have identified learners who can be allocated immediately from the West Yorkshire region.

Reporting to the Director, main duties include:

-Assess students out in the workplace, in line with Awarding Body standards, giving constructive feedback to learners on your assessment decisions, and agree future targets.

-You will be assessing and maintaining a caseload of learners within Health and Social Care qualifications.

-You will be field based travelling and assessing within your geographical area.

-You will have Responsibility of running your own diary.

-To work with the curriculum delivery team supporting delivery of the Technical Certificate, and any additional units, and assess candidates knowledge against the agreed standards.

-where appropriate-Participate in the internal verification process, by internally verifying students work, attending IV and EV meetings.

-Assess work placements for Health and Safety in accordance with legal requirements.

-Work with the curriculum delivery team to complete assessment and tracking records as the learner achieves the elements/units.

-To identify gaps in achievement and agree a plan of action for further experience/training with the learner.

-To advise learners on training providers appeals procedure and support services available.

-To undertake personal and professional development required to support your developing job role.

-To undertake administrative duties associated with the post including maintaining learner records and attendance at team meetings.

-Recruiting Learners and have demonstrable experience of recruiting learners based on agreed targets, including initial sign ups.

-To undertake any other duties within the spirit and nature of the role.

Experience / Qualifications

-Experience in Health and Social Care
-Hold an appropriate occupational qualification(s).
-Hold qualification in the subject area of Health and Safety
-Hold appropriate Assessor qualifications
-Hold (or be willing to undertake) appropriate Teaching qualifications
-Have excellent communication skills.
-Be prepared to work different shift patterns to meet demand, this may include night shifts.
-Hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
-An understanding of safeguarding and its importance to the training provider
-An understanding of Equal Opportunities and its importance to the training provider.

Start Date: Immediate

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £18,000- £25,000 OTE plus(Travel + Laptop + Mobile)
