The Company:

Our client is a national training provider based in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, delivering learning programmes across many regions of England. Founded in 2002, they have developed a firm foundation that underpins their core offer to employers and individuals that is ‘we work with you to fully understand your training and development needs’.

Their expertise enables them to deliver a range of learning programmes from NVQ certificates and diplomas to short courses that are designed to up-skill individuals, including English and Maths.

They contract with the Skills Funding Agency to provide Workplace and Classroom based learning programmes, Apprenticeships and courses for individuals who are currently seeking employment or alternative employment.

The Role:

Health and Social Care NVQ Assessor to cover the Taunton/Worcester region, the successful candidate will have a strong background in Health and Social Care (Apprenticeships, QCF NVQ’s etc.)

• Currently looking to recruit a Health and Social Care NVQ Assessor with an opportunity to support people and develop them to reach their full potential.
• This position carries a high level of responsibility and our client is looking for an individual who can assess all components of the Apprenticeship framework for own caseload of learners in the workplace/centre and ensure their timely completions.
• You will need up to date knowledge of the occupational sector and the ability to deliver all aspects of the Apprenticeship Framework.

Principal Accountabilities are:

• Ensure performance of Learners is reviewed and monitored within Centre/work place.
• Delivery of off the job training and personal and social needs sessions to Learners in Centre.
• Carry out health and safety inspections of new employers and re-inspections as appropriate.
• Assess eligibility of clients and where appropriate, enrol them on the programme using relevant paperwork.
• Maintain and update all relevant processes and ensure quality assurance levels are met.
• To represent the Company to external bodies, where appropriate.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• You will need to have a care background for this post also.

The Individual:

• An ability to complete necessary documentation to a high standard and excellent communication skills.
• Teaching certificate i.e. Cert Ed/PTTLS/CTTLS/DTTLS essential.
• An up to date certificate of competence for operations - A1 assessor qualification (desirable).
• NVQ Health and Social Care level Ύ (desirable).
• An excellent communicator, self motivating, dedicated and team player.
