A fantastic opportunity to plan and provide Art Classes to the under 5's!
This full time position will see you based in a Nursery, delivering Art sessions to small groups of children aged from just under 2 years to 5 years old. This rewarding position would suit an Art lover, passionate about inspiring young minds and instilling in them a desire to explore, create and experiment with all mediums of Artistic expression.
Ideally you will have QTS and experience Teaching Art lessons, but this is not essential. A relevant Art qualification such as a Degree will be sufficient - although good knowledge of Art History is essential.
You will have a good understanding of how to engage children's interest, as well as an understanding of how to plan according to their age and level of development, with the flexibility to accommodate all abilities.
A great sense of humour, with a warm and caring personality are essential qualities for this position!
Some of your responsibilities as an Art Teacher will include:
To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
To guide the staff team in order for them to plan, prepare and review the curriculum as a team reflective of the Art Curriculum
To work in partnership with the parents
To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
To plan and provide Art lessons reflective of the curriculum and the children's development requirements You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
Ideally qualified with QTS
Relevant Art Qualification
