Our client is currently the largest national Provider of Offender Learning in the UK; their highly qualified employees are fully trained in security arrangements in order for them to deliver a responsive curriculum within prisons across England 52 weeks a year.
The aim of the Directorate is to lead, manage and develop provision in order to reduce re-offending and contribute to social inclusion by providing a wealth of curricula experiences including a core curriculum of Skills for Life, Personal and Social Development and work related training.

HMYOI Werrington works with young people 15-18 years of age and we are looking for the right candidate who wants to make a difference in a challenging but extremely rewarding environment.
With this in mind they are seeking to appoint an OLASS Deputy Manager to work within their Education provision based in HMYOI Werrington. Reporting to the OLASS Manager you will effectively plan and manage the deployment of staff and resources, in line with College policies and procedures, to deliver a high quality learning experience. You will be required to deputise for the OLASS Manager in their absence and will work within a partnership arrangement with NOM’s, the Youth Justice board, the Education Funding agency and Local Authorities.
You will be responsible for recruiting, developing and maintaining a flexible, qualified and experienced delivery team for which you will have day to day management responsibility. You will also liaise with the Regional HR Advisor as necessary. You will deal with any breaches relating to contractual agreements and in line with the College policies and procedures. You will provide a proactive and constructive contribution to the establishment meetings and planning process. You will also ensure the safeguarding of learners and compliance with prison security requirements.
You will have a subject relevant degree or level 4 specialist qualification and a level 4 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PCGE)
