An exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer has arisen.

The purpose of this role: To research, collate, write and deliver Bids, Tenders and Proposals.

My client is one of the UK's largest training providers offering government funded Apprenticeships to 16-24 years, providing work-based learning to the Catering, Hospitality, Engineering, Retail, Leisure and Care Industries.

The Bid Writer will join a section of the business experiencing considerable growth.

Reporting to the Head of Bids and interaction with the Business Development Team, National Accounts team, Marketing, and Operational teams & with existing & potential national and key regional customers.

*Co-ordinate and write bid and proposal documents following the internal Business Winning Process from start to finish.
*Working with subject matter experts to understand and answer tender document requirements.
*Generate compliant, clear, compelling, customer focused text as part of the tender submission.
*Work with the Business Development Team to develop bid strategies.
*Bespoke existing documents and presentations for new clients.
*Strive for continuous improvement.
*Work with the accounts team to manage account opportunities, organise and take part in pre-bid technical direction, respond to tender documents, produce bidding documents and identify the key issues.
*Understand project timelines and develop project plans to meet relevant milestones.
*Understand customer requirements, especially solution requirement in order to develop value propositions and differentiators.
*Review and monitor progress and resolve issues and problems.
*Identify skills and capabilities needed for a bid and contract fulfilment.
*Manage and maintain a bid library of generic information, processes and case studies for use in bids.
*Produce proposals that are acceptable from Commercial, Technical, and Procurement, Human Resources, Risk and Planning perspectives.

Key Performance Indicators

*Achievement of quality and successful bids in line with strategic company objectives.
*Production of Bid / No Bid Data for monthly reports.
*Timely management of the Business Winning bid process.
*Relationship management to required internal and external standards

*Graduate calibre and/or equivalent

*You will have been successful in writing complex and/or large scale bid submissions and tenders, with good knowlege
