Are you a qualified Physics teacher who’d be interested in teaching Physics from September in a school described by OFSTED as “Outstanding” in December 2011.
Due to the retirement of a long serving physics teacher at this oversubscribed school the Science department are looking to appoint an experienced or NQT Physics teacher on a permanent basis from September 2012.
The school is a mixed comprehensive school with a little over 1200 students on the role and boasts specialist training school status and incredible facilities. Teaching and learning were graded as outstanding by OFSTED last year as well as pastoral support and leadership. The school has a diverse student population which creates variety and character which is evident when visited. It’s also evident the school fosters excellent support and management systems which in turn create a positive atmosphere and an excellent rapport between staff and students.
You will be responsible for teaching Double award Science across KS3 and KS4 and have the opportunity, support and guidance to teach AS and A2 Physics. You must be qualified to teach A level Physics and ideally you’ll have experience of teaching it at secondary school.
If you consider yourself to be an inspirational teacher who can make a difference why not come and join a flourishing team in a school that was ranked the 5th most improved in the whole country last year.
