An outstanding opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer to work for a reputable FE college as a hands-on assessor who is tasked with assessing maintenance engineers.

The college are working alongside a large global manufacturing company who are based in the area, who are requiring assessment of their maintenance team on a multi-skilled PEO (Performing Engineering Operations) programme up to level 3.

The programme has been successful so far, so they are looking to grow their current team of assessors with a versatile and talented engineer.

The successful candidate will be based at the manufacturing company permanently, and will be a remote worker from the college due to their ability to remotely log assessments. You will also get to manage their own diary, although you will have to be slightly flexible to accommodate the early and late shifts.

The college are looking for someone who is a true multi-skilled engineer, and has experience of maintaining and operating a plant.

If you don't have the assessor award, you will still be considered if your engineering knowledge is deep and wide enough, but assessors who can hit the ground running are preferred.

The salary for the role is between £23,500 and £24,500, but that includes a local government pension, and a generous allowance of 5 weeks holiday (plus bank holidays).
