Description		The successful candidate for this full time position will ideally have previous experience on an assembly line within the manufacturing sector and whilst not essential it would be advantageous to be familiar with basic electrical circuitry and demonstrate a mechanical aptitude. The role will be required to: � Assemble finished instruments or sub-assemblies to required quality standards � Complete production and quality documentation � Test assembled products to electrical, functional and quality specifications � Support the manufacture of new products � Support the training of new assembly personnel � Maintain housekeeping standards The successful candidate will have excellent manual dexterity & will be capable of following engineering assembly drawings and written instructions. S/he will have a methodical approach to work, good attention to detail and a proven ability to work both independently of and within a team. Finally, s/he will demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach which will enable the successful candidate to transfer between assembly lines. Hours of work � 0800 � 16.30 hours Mon to Thur, 0800-1230hours on a Friday Holidays � 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays Pension � 3% ee contribution, 5% er contribution Death in Service Benefit � 4 x basic salary PHI � after 6 month sickness absence (individual must qualify on basis of condition/illness) Bonus � dependent on business performance The company offers good training and development opportunities � a number of people on the shop floor are currently working towards ECDL
