Electronic Buyer


Our client is a leader in the design and manufacture of electronic products and assemblies. They currently require an Electronic Buyer to assist with the procurement of electronic components and PCBs.


Requirements

Knowledge of electronic components and devices and is essential
Ideally the successful candidate will come from a sub-contract manufacturing background
Previous experience of working as an Electronics Buyer is essential
Must be capable of negotiating pricing agreements effectively
Previous experience of working with customers and suppliers directly is a must
Ability to use an MRP system is required
Previous experience of supervising a small number of staff would be advantageous

Job Description

Responsible for the procurement of electronic components and printed circuit boards
Negotiating pricing agreements and competitive quoting, liaising with suppliers and customers directly
Logistical management of materials
Supervision of junior buyers
