A leading organisation involved with the design, development and manufacture of analytical instrumentation devices has a fantastic opening for an experienced electronics design engineer to strengthen its team of extremely high calibre research development team.

This will be a diverse and challenging position that will allow the correct individual to work as part of a multi disciplined development team on both new products development as well as the modification and improvement of legacy products.

Essential Skills and Experience Required.
·PCB design/ layout for safety critical hardware
·Analogue design experience with precisions amplifiers, data acquisition, stepper motor control, EMC filtering and switch mode power supply design.
·Digital design experience with ARM based microcontrollers, small scale Microsystems, general logic design.
·Experience of cost efficient PCB design, future proofing, reliability and manufacturability
·Product Compliance/ Certification -EMC, UL, CE.
·Experience of dealing with obsolescence issues

Suitable candidates for this position are likely to come from a strong academic background in a relevent electronics engineering related discipline and have had subsequent professional experience in a similar hardware design engineers position. Preference will be given to candidates coming from a medical or instrumentation background but this is by no means essential, all good engineers will be considered.
