A specialist semiconductor IC Design Centre is seeking a Semiconductor Project Manager to be based in their office in the South West

The Project Manager will define and maintain visibility of projects’ content and timescales using various reports including milestone charts, statement of works etc ensuring that the “big picture” is consistent with the detailed engineering plans. The individual will ensure deliverables are of high quality and process improvements are introduced where appropriate.

Ideal candidates will need:

Knowledge and hands-on experience of project or programme management in technical product development preferably IC / Semiconductor devices.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Effective negotiation skills

Candidates for the position of Semiconductor Project Manager will hold hands-on experience of IC, ASIC or FPGA design using Verilog though consideration will be given to candidates with backgrounds in the following areas:

• Design of image or video processing algorithms.
• Hardware and/or software DSP algorithm implementation.
• EDA software development.
• MicroProcessor or FPGA architecture.
• Multimedia consumer electronics applications.

Candidates must be able to deal with international customers (internal and external), especially in a multi-site multi-cultural project environments.
