Description

Are you a DSP Engineer with wireless systems and algorithms experience? Are you interested in permanent roles in the Home Counties that are commutable from West London on the M40 and the likes of Watford, Slough, High Wycombe, Marlow, Aylesbury, Maidenhead etc covering counties such as Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Middlesex etc?

The DSP Engineer will work in a small team which is responsible for the entire lifecycle of development from understanding the requirements of the company's wireless strategy, designing and developing the algorithms from a mathematical description, floating to fixed point optimization of the algorithms, and finally, mapping the implementation onto FPGA platforms. Significant customer and field interaction is required throughout the process.

The wide spectrum of responsibilities would include significant innovation, both in algorithm design and implementation. This is reflected in both patent submissions and publications. The successful DSP Engineer would also have a broader responsibility to the company, in terms of driving forwards future projects as well as product requirements for devices, tools and IP.

Technically the DSP Engineer should possess the following skills:

* Wireless system from a physical layer perspective (ideally 3G, UMTS, CDMA2000 and/or WiMAX) including one or more of:
-Digital RF processing, including DUC/DDC, Crest Factor Reduction and Digital Predistortion
-Knowledge of communication standards
-Modulation, equalization, beamforming

* Experience with modelling wireless algorithms in Matlab/Simulink or C/C++

The DSP Engineer may come from an engineering or mathematical background(minimum BSEE, BSCS or equivalent) and have demonstrated significant professional experience in designing and developing digital wireless algorithms on FPGA or in software on ASSPs. The DSP Engineer must be a self starter with demonstrated initiative.
