Description		Our Client is a Global supplier of Document managment tools based in West Herts. They currently require an additional Java Developer, experienced in Java; J2EE environment and Javascript, alng with EJB 2 and 3, Struts, XML and Ant. Candidates will be educated to degree level (ideally) and will also be experienced in all stages of the software life cycle, including requirements capture, design and testing. Experience of SQL, JSP or Apache Struts would be beneficial. Key Objectives The role will involve developing and maintaining J2EE (server-based) applications and JavaScript client based applications and will require the following; - Analyse customer requirements and develop technical solutions. Thus may involve travel to customer sites. - Interface with customers through customer meetings and conference calls. - Debugging complex issues/crashes with little or no information - Delivers required product features in reliable and timely manner. - Provide accurate time estimates for system feature implementation and assist with project planning activities. - Ensure correct development and testing standards are applied to development tasks. - Ensure correct product/system documentation is maintained. - Ensure new technology is investigated where possible. - Adhere to software build processes. Candidates must have proven experience in; - Java in J2EE environment and JavaScript - All stages of the Software life-cycle (including requirements capture, design and Testing) - Developing new functionality from customer requirements Experience of the following would be beneficial, but not essential; - SQl, HTML, JSP, Apache Struts Candidates must also be; - Educated to degree level - A self-starter, hands on, determined in character and team orientated - Customer and product delivery focused - Product Quality, reliability and metrics focused - Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Able to multi-task and work across several areas - A good written and verbal communicator On offer is a competitive package including; Basic salary of 25 to 30k 21 Days annual holiday Non contributory pension scheme Family medical insurance
