My Client is a leading global technology solutions specialist and has been awarded yet another multi-million pound Programme to add to its order book. My Client urgently seeks a dynamic, self-motivated Technical Manager to join their rapidly expanding team.
THE ROLE – As Technical Manager you will be responsible for supporting the wider development of ‘Engineering Best Practice’. You will lead and manage the System Engineering Lifecycle with respect to allocated Bids and Projects. Responsibilities will involve the delivery of the engineering project objectives within time scale, managing the engineering costs for the allocated project or bid, risk management and quality constraints as defined in the Project Management plan.
THE CANDIDATE – You will possess a minimum HNC qualification or degree in a relevant System Engineering/Project Management discipline. Knowledge in some of these area’s would be highly desirable; Requirements Capture and Management, Capture and Migration, System Design, Large Data Design, Migration and Specification, System Integration, Verification, Validation and Transition to Operations and System Engineering Management. You will require strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external personnel and be able to work as part of a team, with the ability to lead both small to large cross functional teams. Knowledge in one or more of the following areas would also be highly beneficial; Defence, Secure Communications, MOD, National Security.
Please note: Applicants must be eligible for MoD security clearance and meet all criteria.
THE SALARY – The Salary for the role will be up to £40,000 - £48,000 with an excellent benefits package.
THE LOCATION – South West, South Wales – within easy reach of the Newport, Cardiff, Bristol areas.
