Description		Operations Manager/Director - Tarporley, Cheshire Salary is commensurate with qualifications/experience My client is a leading provider of multilingual solutions who seeks a highly motivated Operations Manager/Director who will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for managing all aspects of production, comprising PM, DTP, Engineering, Evaluation and Language teams. In particular, the Operations Manager must ensure that the Operations team is structured, trained and motivated to meet the challenges presented by projects from existing and new clients. The successful candidate will benefit immediately from a competitive salary, company pension, free life assurance, subsidised gymnasium membership and 22 days holiday per annum. In addition the candidate is most likely to be invited to join the board as Operations Director within the first year at the company and. Responsibilities Will include, but are not limited to, the following: Ownership of all production activity Ensuring that all production activity is undertaken and delivered in a cost effective timely fashion to predefined quality criteria The setting of objectives and reviewing progress of same for all team members. Identification and implementation of training requirements Developing production processes to maximise quality and minimise costs Ensuring that the sales team is fully supported by operations, in order to meet the challenges of sustainable business growth Contributing to and implementing management decisions. Contributing to negotiations regarding the cutting of budgets for personnel, tools and training. Skills and Experience The successful candidate`s qualities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Excellent communicator at all levels Excellent people management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a highly educated operations team Direct experience of managing challenging translation/localisation projects Proven experience in a senior production role in translation/localisation Sound technical knowledge of the processes involved in both documentation and software localisation Self motivated The company is an ?Investor in People? and a certified ?ISO 9001:2000? quality organisation.
