Description		Job Title: J2EE Technical Architect Location: London Salary: �55k-�65k + Excellent Benefits + Car Allowance + Bonus Large Blue Chip Company providing IT Consultancy to businesses in the Financial, Comms and Public Sectors currently require a J2EE Technical Architect to join their expanding team. The role will involve providing technical leadership on a variety of projects including package integration and bespoke builds using mainly J2EE technologies. Leading small to medium sized development teams at all stages of the project lifecycle. Responsibilities to include: Provide �hands on� software design and development expertise Implement standardised design patterns and code examples for development teams Conduct technical reviews of projects To provide pre-sales support for new and existing clients To provide planning and estimating support to the project manager To mentor members of the development team To analyse requirements and carry out detailed design of application solution Production of documentation to support implementation work Skills required: Extensive multi-tier application design and development experience Proven experience working on large projects as a Technical Architect Excellent knowledge of J2EE and Java development and best practices Spring and Struts, Open source tools, APIs J2EE application servers including Weblogic 8.1, WebSphere and JBoss Build tools including Jakarta ANT SQL development and tuning using Oracle 8i/10g and MS SQL Server databases Database design and data modeling Good understanding of Hibernate, JDO and/or iBatis persistence framework Web Services (SOAP and WSDL) ECM and DM products such as Vignette, Documentum and Stellent Portal servers such as Weblogic, Websphere or Vignette Experience of designing and developing SOA based solutions RUP or Agile development methodologies Application tuning experience - J2EE app server and databases The ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with demonstrable ability to work well under pressure and prioritise work demands within tight time lines.
