Description Fibre Optic CAD Designer / Surveyor - Warrington based

The Role / Responsibilities:

Due to the imminent launch of my clients largest scale project, the need has arisen to recruit an experienced CAD Designer/Surveyor based at their head office in Haydock.

The Requirements:

Successful individuals will have a strong determination to succeed and a proven track record in the design of networks and administration of GIS systems within the waste water or utility industry.

The key areas of responsibility are:

•Create packs for CCTV surveys and analyse survey information returned from nominated contractor.
•Complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
•Attend meetings and build good working relationships with relevant water company and council.
•Review statutory information (BT, Gas, Electric, Cable & Water) and transfer using CAD.
•Survey area and capture relevant information to generate design.
•Design network using a combination of existing approved sewer network and civils construction.
•Review subcontractor risk assessments and method statements.
•Maintain accurate records, asbuilts and archives.
•Assist in the planning and administration of the department and GIS system.
•Work closely with other departments to deliver fibre to both residential and business properties.

You will have:
•Have a proven track record in the design of networks of GIS systems within the waste water or utility industry.
•Be fully computer literate with extensive knowledge of CAD systems and Microsoft Office
•Have CAD experience within the waste water or utility industry
•Knowledge and understanding of both CDM & NRSWA regulations.
•Have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
•Be well organised and have the ability and motivation to manage own workload.
•To liaise with subcontractors and manage their progress.
