Internationally renowned Defence Organisation based in Alton, Hampshire is currently looking to recruit a number of C++ Software Engineer.

The contract will for 6-12 Months.

The rate on offer is £34 Per Hour.

Please Note: CURRENT Security Clearance to SC Level (Secret Level) is required for this position.

The position requires the candidate to have an excellent understanding of C++ along with the following experience:

• Experience in re-factoring large system code bases
• Practical experience in the following; Unix/Linux/Windows Systems Programming with knowledge of cross platform systems development
• C, C++, X, Motif, Sockets, IPC Mechanisms
• Clearcase
• UML 2.x and experience of supporting tools
• Database (SQL, Oracle, Ingress)
• XML.
• Knowledge of architectural and software development design patterns and idioms
• Knowledge of source control and development tool chains
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) - it will be essential to interact with the team developing 'live' software team, that will be working on delivery projects;
• Strong team player.
