An exciting opportunity for a Windows 2003 System Administrator has arisen with our client in Hook, a world leading defence IT consultancy. The successful candidates will be required to be security cleared to DV level (prior to appointment).

Responsibilities

In consultation with the Support Manager, The support engineer is part of a team providing system management to a new Military System on the customer site. Leading with the day-to-day maintenance of the systems at both Hook and deployed sites.
Leading with network and system management, and messaging support.
Provide consultation on problem resolution, and take responsibility for Proactive Problem finding and resolution.
Fault fixing and fault progression as per system design and build documentation. Implementation of authorised system changes in support of international interoperability.
From time-to-time, as required, any additional work needed to support International interoperability.
