Test Manager, Banking, Derivatives, Options, Futures, £600p/d

Our client's business is at the very heart of the London banking community and is a stable member and well regarded institution within city finance circles. Our client's IT systems help support the trading of items such as derivatives swaps and fixed income products. Our client's position in London will further benefit as the banking world adjusts to a more regulated and structured environment. As a highly established and one of just two preferred suppliers to this client we have been asked to recruit a Contract Implementation Test Manager.

This is a major change program for our client and will likely run for a significant period. The successful candidate will be able to deal effectively with changing scope and areas of focus as the testing of the project evolves through the various stages of user driven testing.

Someone with a technical aptitude and background is essential as well as experience of Futures and Options platforms.

Tasks
•Analyse requirements and design specifications to identify test requirements
•Produce a test plan
•Produce Test Traceability Matrices
•Link test requirements to test cases
•Create test cases from the test requirements
•Create test cases in line with internal standards and procedures
•Identify expected results
•Identify test data requirements for the test cases
•Produce test data
•Test Execution (Functional, integration and regression)
•Record actual results
•Raise test execution issues with the Test Manager
•Identify defects and provide evidence
•Record and maintain defects
•Retest defects
•Report on preparation, execution and defect progress to the Test Manager when required
•Escalation of issues

Required Skills/Qualifications
•Basic UNIX skills (ie an ability to perform basic UNIX commands - chmod, cp, rm, ls etc)
•Basic SQL skills
•Basic Quality Centre skills
•Basic ClearCase skills
•Financial Industry Knowledge
•ISEB Certification
