Due to expansion we are looking for a flexible, hardworking individual to join our configuration team to ensure that configuration orders are processed according to the agreed industrial standards and in accordance with the customer�s instructions. Main Duties of the Job: 1. To test and configure a variety of server hardware products, to the customers specific requirements when expressed, within the agree departmental time scales 2. To test and configure a variety of products to the manufacturer�s written instructions, ensuring satisfactory operation 3. To escalate to the Team Leaders any non-conformance�s within the agreed time scale 4. To fully complete all paperwork as and when necessary 5. To comply with all Health and Safety requirements within the Commissioning Complex 6. To maintain your work area and ensure care of company property used 7. To assist the Configuration manager in the daily running of the Configuration Centre through the above and any other duties as necessary 8. To be responsible for the refurbishment process as defined in the departmental Instructions. 9. Ensure all refurbishment projects are managed and completed within predefined SLA�s. 10. Follow the Refurbishment Quality/TEST procedures to the letter with regards to all items passing through Refurbishment Centre. 11. To refurbish, rebuild and configure equipment ready for redeployment. This may include the installation of boards, memory upgrades, etc and the testing of the complete system. 12. As per predefined customer documentation you may need to Load customer images, standard operating systems, customer-defined applications. 13. Complete Assessment sheets for all items passing through the Refurbishment Centre. 14. Following ESD guidelines whilst working on equipment in the Workshop area. 15. Following ISO9002 procedures and local instructions as detailed on the quality system. 16. Perform Ad hoc duties as and when required by the Refurbishment Centre Manager. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Previous experience of handling IT Server equipment in a similar configuration type role is advantageous. - A pragmatic 'hands on' approach ands a team player. - Strong interest in IT A+ MCP or MCSE CompTIA server+ * Shift pattern 2:00pm - 10:00pm *
