We are a growing digital agency based in London with an impressive client profile including AOL and MTV.

The Lead Web Developer, LAMP Developer will take a lead role in ensuring that all development work meets user requirement specifications and conforms to agreed standards and conventions and will meet with clients on a frequent basis. He or she will also help to manage the team and its projects.

Main Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain websites, using XHTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL
- Perform and direct website launches and updates
- Meet with clients to understand their needs and discuss technical solutions
- Actively participate in finalising technical requirement
- Evaluate your code and that of the rest of the team to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices or operating systems
- Maintain a understanding of current web technologies and programming practices through reading and participation in professional conferences, workshops or groups
- Develop and validate test plans
- Overseeing the output of more junior team members, providing support and assistance where needed

Lead Web Developer, LAMP Developer Essential Skills:

- Object-oriented PHP
- Use of PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Cake or CodeIgniter
- Use of JavaScript frameworks such as Scriptaculous or JQuery
- Significant work experience in a digital agency environment
- First class commercial portfolio, working on PHP and MySQL projects
- Coding advanced hand-built XHTML and CSS
- Working knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and standards
- Use of regular expressions
- Linux/Unix command line knowledge
- Basic image manipulation and exporting images for web in Adobe Photoshop
- Fluent in English and impeccable written and oral communication skills

Ideal
- Basic server administration
- Development within social networking and open authentication platforms (Facebook Connect, Google Friend Connect, Bebo, Myspace, etc)
- Use of Git version control system
- Development of iPhone applications
