Description		My client, a leading software company, are looking for a software tester to work alongside their software development team based in the head office in Chippenham. The role as a software tester will involve validating the quality of the software developed in-house against the specifications and requirements documentation. You will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of software released by my client for its expanding customer base and ensuring that the relevant time scales are met. The majority of software testing will be done manually using their in house tools and you will be expected to debug the software and feedback to the development team where possible. Furthermore, as a software tester, you will be expected to produce written documentation and error reports. The correct software tester will have some industry experience and will have excellent debugging skills. As this is a manual software testing role your attention to detail must be exemplary along with having excellent written skills as you will be expected to produce technical documentation. Further technical skills in Java, HTML, CSS, XML, Oracle and Linux systems would also be highly beneficial. You will be able to follow both written and verbal technical instructions and be comfortable working within a team environment. Candidates with either an ISEB Foundation Certificate or an ISEB Intermediate Certificate in testing would be looked upon favourably.
