Our client is an exciting new online business with excellent funding and plans for expansion.

We are now assisting them to build their technical team by appointing a Core Web Developer.

You will be an experienced website and/or web application developer with a proven track record developing clean efficient code, and have demonstrable experience of developing either high traffic or complex websites. Although this is not a front end design role, HTML/CSS/JQUERY skills are highly desirable.

Working within a small development team, you will be responsible for:

Developing new functionality
Maintaining existing code and
Making improvements to the service.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to take ownership of tasks, work under their own initiative, be a creative thinker who can quickly grasp new ideas and is keen to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Technical Requirements

Essential: advanced coding skills in PHP, AJAX, JSON, MySQL

Desirable: Any PHP framework experience, Scrum/Agile environment experience, hand coding skills in HTML & CSS, Javascript (jquery) strongly desirable
