Systems / Management Accountant – to £40k – Hatfield, Hertfordshire

Systems / Management Accountant is required by a company based ion Hatfield. This role will be an extended maternity cover contract lasting 18 months. Candidates can expect a salary of up to £40,000 pa.

Duties

• Involvement with the quarter, half and year end closing activities; providing assistance to the BU’s in producing the final management reports; completion of appropriate accounting records for audit purposes

• Liaison with the inventory accounts section in order to provide detailed analysis on all stock related issues

• Acting as first point of contact with respective business unit heads to provide advice and support on all details of a financial nature.

• To undertake the lead role in the maintenance & development of the budget software system, (TM1).

• Preparation of the annual budget plus mid year revision for the LED BU.

Key skills

• Part Qualified accountant intermediate final level
• Strong interpersonal skills required with the ability to communicate with staff on all levels.
• Background in programming using either Cognos TM1 or similar system essential.
• Solid experience of Microsoft products, (excel & word)
• Accounting records maintained on SAP including Project systems. SAP experience useful but not essential.
