My client, a leading property management company, requires a multi-skilled IT Support Engineer to join its busy and expanding team in the Bournemouth area.

Responsible for providing a mixture of 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support to internal users, the successful IT Support Engineer will issue support by phone, email and in person so some travel to south-based remote sites will be required.

The successful IT Support Engineer will have a good knowledge of Windows operating systems including 2003, 2007, XP and Vista and have diverse skills including Citrix & VMWare administration, Active Directory, Citrix Network & Mitel Telephony administration, IT Security knowledge and a proven record of maintaining accurate inventory records for Disaster Recovery, Network diagrams and 3rd party software licenses.

Responsibilities will include the following:

 Optimising helpdesk, network, desktop, application performance & security and reducing downtime to a minimum
 Guaranteeing the integrity of existing backups and recovery plans
 Maintenance of IT Asset Inventory, PC Builds, software deployment and antivirus updates
 Maintenance of user requests around password, accounts and permissions

The successful IT Support Engineer will also have excellent communication skills and understand the importance of first class customer service.
