Head of IT / Senior Service Delivery Operations Manager position for a key contract owned by a FTSE 250 Support Services company.

We are seeking a highly versatile senior IT management candidate who has ideally worked had significant experience of managing the day to day IT service delivery for a large IT outsourced contract ideally for a public sector local government client.

The dimensions of the role are to manage a budget upto £5m with a team of around 60 via up to 6 direct reports.

Your key purpose will be to ensure the successful delivery of ICT to meet and exceed agreed performance levels and to manage operations expenditure with in budget.

A critical factor of the role is to be able to effectively manage and exceed the clients expectations therefore the successful candidate will be highly adept with stakeholder / account management.

The ideal candidate could have a bent or specialism with in business systems applications from the point of view of ongoing complex application support of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards.

The post will require you to get involved in sales activity from time to time as part of a large bid team for bids relating to new IT services contracts / partnerships. As such your current skill set should include bid / sales proposal writing.

You will be looking to progress your career relatively quickly by being able to proactively coming up with new and innovative IT solutions and propositions.
